HATHA YOGA

Hatha Yoga practice brings extraordinary benefits at all levels of the being, and the main one is the perfect communion between body, mind and emotions.

The general opinion in the West is that Hatha Yoga is about the equilibrium between body and mind. In Sanskrit "ha" represents the esoteric sun and "tha" represents the moon, and the Hatha Yoga practice aims to ballance these two energies, Yang and Yin.

A yoga session described as "Hatha" will usually involve a set of phisical postures and breating techniques.

However, literally, Hatha means "strength" and it is more traditionally defined as "strength yoga" or "the means to obtain a yoga state through strength". Therefore, Hatha Yoga can be considered as anything you can do with your body, including: asana, pranayama, mudra, krya yoga techniques.

MEDITATION

Increased self awareness, reduces anxiety and stress, improves clarity and mental focus, amplifies emotional intelligence, activates the answer of brain relaxation.

In Sanskrit, the Meditation is called Dhyana. One of the most important works about meditation is Patanjali's YOGA SUTRAS, who is teaching us that Dhyana is “the uninterrupted flow of attention to the subject of meditation”.

IMPORTANT notes:

- Meditation is a dynamic state obtained through learning and practice of the control over the mental processes.

- The attention is drawn exclusively in the present moment.

Meditation is a way of knowing ourselves better.

Meditation can be a spiritual practice. It is not mandatory to be this way and definitely it is not specific to a certain religion, however it can be a spiritual experience.
